# Usage and plan pools

Each plan is a pool of memory, CPU and disk. Every app and database on your account shares the pool. There is no limit on projects, and there is no meter.

## The pools

| Plan | Memory | CPU | Disk |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Starter | 1.5 GB memory | 0.5 CPU allocated | 5 GB disk allocated |
| Growth | 4 GB memory | 1.5 CPU allocated | 15 GB disk allocated |
| Pro | 8 GB memory | 3 CPU allocated | 30 GB disk allocated |
| Scale | 16 GB memory | 5 CPU allocated | 60 GB disk allocated |
| Business | 32 GB memory | 8 CPU allocated | 120 GB disk allocated |

Scale and Business are available at public launch. Prices are on the [pricing page](/pricing).

## What your apps use

```
astris usage
```

It prints your plan and, for memory, CPU and disk, how much your apps use and how much is left. The MCP tool `usage` gives the same. `astris plans` and the MCP tool `plans` print what each plan gives.

Each app counts the memory it is given. Its CPU and disk are the same share of the pool as its memory. A database counts its memory only.

## When a new app or database does not fit

Astris does not create it. The API refuses with [upgrade_required](/docs/errors/upgrade_required) and names the plan with room, for example:

> RAM does not fit this pool. Change your plan at https://api.astris.run/console/billing. To get more room, move to Growth: open the Billing page, ask your coding agent to start a checkout for Growth, or run astris billing checkout --plan growth.

Change your plan, or remove an app or a database you no longer need. We never bill you for going over.
