# unavailable

HTTP status: 503

## What the API sends

```
{"error":"unavailable","message":"Astris cannot complete this request right now. Nothing was changed. Wait a moment, then try again."}
```

When Astris had already started the change, the message is `Astris cannot complete this request right now. Wait a moment, then try again.` Both carry a `retry-after` header. A billing request can get the body `{"error":"unavailable"}` with no message.

## When it happens

The platform that runs your apps failed several times in a row, so Astris stops new changes for a short time.

## What to do

Wait for the time the `retry-after` header gives. If the message does not say that nothing was changed, read the status first, then send the request again.

## What your tools show

The Astris CLI and the Astris MCP show `Astris failed on its side. Try again.`
